1. Daily Safety Controls & Site Opening Checklist

Prior to admitting children each morning, staff complete the compulsory Daily Opening Safety Checklist (Annex P1) to verify that all indoor and outdoor learning zones meet strict safety benchmarks:

  • Clear Escape Routes: Verification that all exit corridors, doors, and stairways are unlocked, unobstructed, and free of storage boxes or prams.
  • Hazard Elimination: Daily inspection of floor surfaces, wall fixtures, electrical sockets, play equipment, and soft-play surfaces.
  • Sanitation Verification: Checking that washrooms, changing stations, soap dispensers, and disposable paper towels are fully stocked and sanitized.
  • Signage Inspection: Illuminated emergency exit signs, fire action notices, and emergency assembly points are checked for complete visibility.
Immediate Hazard Isolation If any environmental, structural, or equipment hazard is identified during the daily opening inspection, the area is immediately isolated from children and logged for rapid maintenance.

2. Room Ratios, Hygiene & Intimate Care Standards

To maintain active supervision and individualized developmental attention, ANNS enforces strict adult-to-child ratios across all batches:

Intimate Care & Toileting Dignity:

  • Children's privacy and emotional dignity are respected during all nappy changing and toileting routines.
  • Two-way visibility is maintained at all times; doors to changing areas are not fully closed for safety monitoring.
  • Strict handwashing and single-use protective gloves are mandatory between diaper changes.

3. Clinical Care, First Aid & Medication Protocols
